2015 was a huge game changer for me!
Due to having the awesome Jodi Nelson as my coach I learned about social media strategy, mission statements, business plans and editorial calendars for creatives for the first time ever. I learned about crowdfunding campaigns, e-book launches and online courses. I’ve been learning so much from Jodi – even about the power of a creative mindset, habits, setting goals and building in contingency.
Like RIGHT NOW. Added a word count in the bar to the right.
Must go and give an evening lecture soon, will translate until then and will update my word count before I go.
I’m not avoiding it anymore. I’M TRANSLATING.
It is scary.
And so much fun.
See you later, gotta go!
I couldn’t sleep last nigt. Here’s the result.
I’m actually VERY nervous, now that I’m actually going to reveal The Cover. There are actual butterflies in my tummy.
Luckily we achieve our dreams one step at a time – and not all of them at once. My heart would stop if it would all happen at once. It’s almost stopping right now.
Writing – mostly blog posts, tweets and A Heart of Fire notes
As you know from this post, October is probably the most busy month of this entire year for me. Most of the time I’m working – as a lecturer (which means lots of time preparing as well), as a teacher, in the shop – and I try to squeeze in some time for my writing job as well.
The National Novel Writing Month is coming up!
Here’s a short pep-talk from me to you, to make sure you are well equipped with great motivational strategies! ❤
NaNoWriMo participants (and every other writer visiting my blog); I wish you awesome results and lots of fun!!!
I was recently challenged by the mesmerizing Aura Eadon to participate in the challenge Confessions of a Writer Tag. Thank you, Aura, for challenging me! The challenge was given to me, and will be given on, through being tagged on Twitter by another writer. The challenge requires everyone who is tagged to answer the following twenty questions. For more information see A little bookish, a little writerly, the blog in which Nicolette Elzie created the challenge. Here they are… My 20 confessions…
It is finally October, one of my favourite months, and there are lots to do, lots to learn and lots of joy!
What’s happening over here? Well, my timetable is full, that’s for sure. So much happening at once, so many positive changes, and a few wistful ones. This year is literally changing my life.
What does that mean?
I know it seems like I’m doing nothing, but let me tell you this: Things are swarming behind the curtains. Truly.
My tiny fairies with golden wings are coordinating plots and ideas, tasks and adventures.
My main elf (read: coach), with her cloak of wisdom and white dress sparkling with creativity, is showing the way with her compass, map, wild ideas and wind in her hair.
On our ways to reach our dreams sometimes life gets in our way. Or even death.
Like now. For me. Continue reading
Due to a family member being sick, my energy was low and I worked at a slow pace this week. My wonderful husband cooked for me every evening, giving me strength enough to finish my weekly goals. (Thank you!!!)
The main goal was to fulfill all my commitments first, my primary weekly commitments being one blog post and my work shifts, which meant four days in the shop and one day teaching Norwegian. Continue reading
